“Took 7 of us out for Dinner at 'Salt on the Harbour'. Friendly welcome from the start. Nice table overlooking the Harbour. The food was excellent. Whitebait and Calamari Starters to Share. Mains: Lobster Thermidor, Mussels, Prawn Linguine x2, Crab and Rocotta Ravioli x2 and Seafood Chowder (Me). All exceptionally well presented and served, all delicious.
Two nice Lagers on Draught, good Wine and Drinks List. The service throught, from all the staff, was excellent. 10/10 Will be back.”

  • Scott Westerman

“We dropped in here today as alot in the town centre were closed and now glad they was. We will eat here again.
Great view especially on a snow day! Good menu choice. Great beer choice even though it’s dry Jan!! Was a good atmosphere and everyone enjoyed their fish and chips. You might think £18.95 is expensive but if there nice whats it matter?.”

  • Linda Cole

“My husband and I stayed in Bridlington for the weekend and had an amazing meal at Salt on the Harbour. We had a dozen fresh Lindisfarne oysters that were delicious followed by a main of Haddock Fish & Chips. And a lovely bottle of white wine.
We both agreed that the fish & chips was the best we’d ever had. The batter was so light and the fish so tasty! Everything delightful.
The restaurant is in a great location overlooking the harbour and the service was perfect. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
Now back home in London I won’t find somewhere as brilliant as Salt on the Harbour here!”

  • Sharon Cieciala

“Our favourite restaurant and we’ve only been in the area four months! The menu always has a joyous choice and the food utterly delicious we can’t fault it. All needs catered for by such attentive friendly staff and the view whilst eating is a delight, day or night. Our last visit was Boxing Day with our sons, they loved the food and surroundings as much as we do. We’ll be back!”

  • Philip Knagg

“Great lunch here. Friendly and welcoming to us and our dogs. Lovely home made soup. Well made fish and scampi and a chocolate brownie to die for. Fantastic view of the harbour too. We arrived 45 minutes before closing but were not rushed and had a lovely relaxing meal.”

  • Daniela Petrescu

“Came just after lunch, still accommodating us and served 3 lovely Fish and Chips. The fish - fresh and tasty, cooked perfectly, loved the tartare sauce and the cold Blanc beer topped up our experience to great. Was very nice, looking to book for a nice dinner! Thank you".”

  • Glyn Melia

“The staff are very friendly and efficient. We both had fish and chips with mushy peas. Two pots of tea with bread and butter. The fish was cooked perfectly and the batter was light and crispy. The chips were delicious 😋. A great view over the harbour made it a wonderful experience. Well worth a visit.”

  • Jo Dyche

“We stayed for 2 nights 5/6th September and can not fault anything about our stay.
Our room had an amazing view of the harbour and it was spotlessly clean & the bed very comfortable. Lovely en-suite bathroom with quality toiletries provided and soft towels. Tea/coffee provided and bottles of water too.
We had breakfast both mornings and it was excellent. Full Yorkshire breakfast the first morning for both of us and it did not disappoint and kept us full all day! The 2nd morning I had the scrambled egg & smoked salmon & my husband eggs Benedict. Both delicious and cooked to perfection.
We had our evening meal on the 6th in the restaurant upstairs and had a table with a fabulous view of the harbour. I opted for popcorn scallops for starters and my husband had oysters. For our mains I had seafood thermidor & my husband had the monkfish tail. All food was excellent and again cooked to perfection!
All staff at Salt on the Harbour in our experience were very helpful, friendly & professional.
Highly recommend anyone to stop here and experience everything they have to offer.
Definitely a return visit on the cards! 😃”

I started my cooking career at age 15, studied at college and received an NVQ in professional cookery. Salt’s History

Make no mistake about it, this is no ordinary dining or hotel destination, one that has garnered some fantastic reviews and brings with it more than a bit of romantic history through its connections to Lawrence of Arabia, the British First World War hero and Middle East freedom fighter.
